There are 4 houses of worship in Spring Lake one being St. Catherines Church which was built by Martin Maloney in the year 1900 after the passing of his 17-year-old daughter. This exquisite landmark was restored in 1995 and is still the resting place for the Maloney family who are entombed in the family crypt beneath the Sacred Heart Chapel.

St Margaret Parish also serves the community throughout the year. The Historic Society museum is located at the corner of Warren and 5th Ave on the top floor of Borough Hall. The museum has an intimate, jewel-like quality. Its highly ornamented interior, rich with architectural detail, now plays host to the collections which form the heart of Spring Lakes’ historical treasures.
