Ocean Grove New Jersey – What was once a Camp Meeting Site in 1869, has become a picturesque part of the Jersey Shore. Ocean Grove takes you back in time to the Victorian Era. In fact, this small quaint town continues to have the most Victorian and early 20th century detailed architecture throughout the entire United States. Registered as a National Historic Place in 1976  Known as the “Jewel of the Jersey Shore”  Ocean Grove has maintained much of its unique and historical appeal. This small community has one half square mile of streets lined with trees, natural beauty and beaches that are pristine and un-crowded. Past presidents including Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Ulysses S. Grant, Richard Nixon, William McKinley, and James Garfield have frequented the area. Locals and visitors enjoy the quaint shops, historical inns, abundant Victorian Architecture, and the feeling of stepping into small-town USA.

The location of this small town is perfect for city dwellers looking to find an escape from the outside world. It is just a little North of Atlantic City and only one hour away from the big cities of Manhattan and Philadelphia.  There is rail service to and from New York City via the New Jersey Transit. The train can be boarded at the Asbury Park Station. People also arrive by car, bus or plane. The closest airport is the Newark Liberty International Airport, which is only 45 minutes away.

The town is part of the Neptune Township School District. The school district offers education to children from pre-k to 12th grade. There are approximately 4,400 children enrolled in the school district. The district has one high school, one middle school, and 5 elementary schools. Residents and locals enjoy spending time at the concerts and festivals that occur throughout the year. There are also antique shows, flea markets, art festivals and museums. Throughout the year, carriage rides take patrons around the neighborhoods where they can have a private tour of this historic community.

There are community services and associations to help all of the local residents. From a county library to recycling and human services, there is everything that is needed in this small town. There are physical therapy providers, chiropractors, holistic health centers, and long-term care facilities. Small businesses are alive and well and local residence know how to take care of their own.  Ocean Grove is famous for its historic and quaint appeal.
